The long warm days of summer have flown by here at Canadian Fly In Fishing. The stories of big walleye and trophy northern pike never get old. It is truly a pleasure to hear the fish tales as guests come off the lake.
From opening weekend where the group coming off Mimi reported catching 90 walleye of the dock in an hour one evening to late August where the group at the Thicketwood lake outpost complained they kept catching fish over 20 inches when they were trying to catch some eaters, the season has been filled with new memories. If you have been fortunate enough to have experienced the truly spectacular fishing of a fly in fishing trip I am sure you have stories to go along with it. If not, these pictures submitted for the 2018 photo contest provide a glimpse into the fishing trip of a lifetime.
The 29 inch walleye was caught on Thicketwood Lake in May. The 29 inch walleye was caught on Piesk Lake in July. The 42 inch northern was caught on Mimi this July.

If you were on a trip this year but have not submitted pictures for the chance to win a free trip there is still time! Please email your pictures to josh@canadianflyinfishing.ca.
