Mimi lake has long been known for the record numbers of walleye. Groups bringing up younger children or grandchildren like this lake in particular as the fast action keeps novice anglers engaged and interested. The first group into Mimi this past season reported catching 90 walleye in an hour off of the dock in one evening!

For those adventurous types there are portage lakes which can be accessed via marked trails from Mimi lake which have boats and motors waiting for you. The portage lakes provide the opportunity to fish for bigger and those once in lifetime trophies.

With a lake teeming with this many fish and accessible only to our guests the numbers of fish you will catch are sure to make this the trip of a lifetime. If you are fortunate enough to bring your kids or grandkids on a fly in fishing trip, Mimi lake is a great opportunity to get a young angler hooked on the sport.
