With the season drawing to a close we have been able to make a little bit of time to mix work and play. Jordan and I were out on the portage lakes marking trails and doing all the groundwork we could for next spring. We decided to take a couple rods out and sneak in some fishing, if we had the time. With the portage lakes off of Mimi cleared and remarked we will be able to open up the portages in the spring even if there is a late ice out.
We did manage to sneak in some fishing but as always we would have gladly fished longer if we could. We were able to get on the bite and did catch quite a few walleye even with just a short late afternoon of fishing.
