Canadian Trophy Fishing

Fishing is great from ice out in May and only gets better through late July and August. September is a superb time for bass fishing as they come up on the reefs to spawn. This mixed with fall colours will be certain to create some enjoyable memories. Regardless of when you come up during the season our remote access lakes and conservation program ensure a high quality fly in fishing trip with the real chance to catch true trophy northern pike and walleye.

We’re proud of the many trophies that are caught and released on our lakes each year. Our conservation program ensures all trophy fish are returned to the lakes. The results of our conservation efforts are apparent in the quality of fishing week after week in both numbers and size of walleye and northern pike, checkout the Latest News section of our website to see the biggest catches each week.

Our lakes deliver quality walleye and northern pike – “eaters” as well as trophies. You will find yourself releasing dozens and, in many cases, hundreds, of walleye and northern pike during your week’s stay with us. Jigs, twister tails, spinners with flashers, and minnow type lures are best for walleye while spoons and buck-tails are successful for northerns. Walleye are taken with both spinning and bait casting tackle. Many enjoy the thrill of using ultra-light rigs. For northerns, we suggest using 12 to 14-pound test line with steel leaders. Checkout the video below for tackle tips and some of our suggestions.

With a short season, effective conservation program, and the fact that access is limited by floatplane to a handful of guests each year, pressure is nonexistent. Our lakes average 4 to 6 thousand acres. We can put you right over the fish with the lake maps that we provide. Your Canadian trophy fishing experience will be one you will never forget.
